The Protégé Design Philosophy

Northcoast's new Protégé has been inspired by the success of our latest low floor City Bus.

Once again we have joined forces with one of Australia's leading industrial designers to help us create a new generation of vehicles. Like the City Bus, the Protégé has a strong focus on visual appeal, combined with proven construction methods and realistic maintenance procedures.

Available in both two and three axle configurations the Protégé provides operators with a recognisable set of features that can be carried across the full range of vehicle applications.

With over 17 years experience in coach building and repair, particular attention has been paid to simultaneously satisfying the needs of both the customer and the operator.

Low Floor Design Philosophy

The driving philosophy behind the creation of the Downtown City Bus was that the vehicle's look and feel should actively encourage people to use public transport.

In response to this challenge Northcoast engaged the services of one of Australia's leading industrial designers to create a vehicle that would define new standards in customer satisfaction and deliver increased levels of patronage.

With a strong focus on ergonomic design and visual appeal, Northcoast's latest City Bus not only sets new standards in design excellence, it also offers the operator proven construction methods and realistic maintenance procedures.

With over 17 years experience in coach building and repair, particular attention has been paid to simultaneously satisfying the requirements of both the customer and the operator.
